Mission Statement
The Dhody Research Institute examines medical history to address current and future health challenges and to foster curiosity through education and research. We promote science communication, the preservation of historical collections, and biorepositories to advance healthcare.
Reconstructing DNA from ancient materials enables us to understand human health through time. Museum specimens and artifacts have become vital for this work. I am excited that the Dhody Research Institute is the first and only nonprofit to specialize in the scientific analysis of historical materials to understand and improve human health. - Robert Hicks
